Milan took my breath away. Out of the four fashion capitals in the world I would have never imagined that my first time visiting one would be in Milan. It was my favorite city I visited because it had such an instant wow factor, and the city was a profusion of fashion and architecture inspiration that it was almost overwhelming (but definitely in a good way)! To be and to work in the heart of the industry I love is a huge dream of mine, and I'm so thankful I got a taste of what the city I love is like even if it was just for half a day. While in Milan we stayed around the Piazza Duomo area and we spent most of our time in the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, going on a tour in the cathedral, and tons of window shopping. The clothes were so pristine and ornate and the presentations of everything in the shops were so beautifully arranged. They are also such interesting and fascinating places to people watch because there are not many places where you see a thirty year old man pensively deciding on whether or not to get one or two pairs of $800 Gucci mules out of the nine pairs laid out in front of him. Now as I said before, I'll be back in Milan for fashion week! ;-)
