A Night to Remember

September 23rd is a night I will remember forever. I could go on and on about singing my heart out The Lumineers, dancing like there’s no tomorrow to Stevie Wonder, reliving my middle school years listening to Green Day, or having a pinch me moment when Jane Goodall spoke.  However, I’ll try not to, but being in the middle of Central Park with the beautiful skyline behind me and Stevie Wonder in front of me is a moment I will never forget.

For Global Citizen, my outfit was planned around my Lumineers shirt because there was no way I could see them and not show off their awesome t-shirt. Then, I planned it how I plan every other outfit I wear: comfort, matching color scheme, and a little bit of grooviness. Luckily, my Stan Smith’s fit all of those categories, and next was my striped Vince Camuto skirt. Yes, it was comfortable, but it always wrinkles. There is always a small price to pay when you find an $90 piece of clothing for $7! After my skirt, I obviously had to bring my pink sunnies. They totally tied the color scheme together, and they are just super funky. Lastly, I brought my Lucia Tommasi purse for its small size and contrast with the rest of the ensemble. You should never match too much! I am no concert stylist expert, but my advice is to find the balance between being comfortable for 10+ hours yet also exuberate confidence in your look with a hint of glam and funk.

I highly recommend everyone to support Global Citizen because not only are the tickets you win free, but you are also making a difference in civil rights, environmental, health, and social justice issues around the world!
